and electrical tin openers.

Choose good health,

low cholesterol,

and dental insurance.

Choose fixed

interest mortgage repayments.

Choose a starter home.

Choose your friends.

Choose leisurewear

and matching luggage.

Choose a three-piece suite

on hire purchase

in a range of fucking fabrics.

Choose DIY

and wondering

who the fuck you are

on Sunday night.

Choose sitting on that couch

watching mind-numbing,

spirit-crushing game shows,

stuffing fucking junk food

into your mouth.

Choose rotting away

at the end of it all,

in a miserable home,

       Mia: Uncomfortable silences.

            Why do we feel it's necessary to yak about bullshit in order to be comfortable?
Vincent: I don't know.

             That's a good question.
       Mia: That's when you know you've found somebody special.

             When you can just shut the fuck up for a minute, and comfortably share silence.

Vincent: I don't think we're there yet. But don't feel bad, we just met each other.

       Mia: Well I'll tell you what, I'll go to the bathroom and powder my nose, while you sit here
